21st Century: Query 97
Suppose 99.99% of humans were born without the ability to see. In other words, blindness would not be considered a disability but the norm. In fact, sight itself might be considered an abnormality and sighted people would likely be considered mentally ill and suffer discrimination and scorn, much like people who can see the future and talk to the dead. How might the lack of sight impact our culture and change how we navigate the world in terms of family and friends, work, romantic relationships, social interactions, and transportation? What would be different in this world? What would remain the same?
