“Most people say that it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.” ~ Albert Einstein The great Professor Einstein was a complicated person who did not always demonstrate a stellar character. Still, is his claim correct? Why or why not? In what ways might a great scientific intellect actually be preferable over character? Conversely, how might such a great intellect, without character, pose a danger to humanity?
