The Constitution of the United States: Amendment 3--Quartering of Soldiers

Ratified 12/15/1791
No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

If Amendment 3 did not exist, how might the lives of U.S citizens be different?
